EIA listens and collaborates with local communities around the world who are on the frontlines against environmental crime and exploitation. We focus on the global demand and international networks that are the most powerful force behind local injustice and environmental destruction, and advocate for efforts to improve natural resource governance by local communities. The core of our work centers around inclusion, collaboration, support and advocacy for local communities to govern natural resources sustainably and equitably.
EIA takes a global approach to environmental protection and often leverages international agreements that provide a foundation for conservation and enforcement to advance our campaigns. We have been long-standing participants at CITES, Montreal Protocol, and the IWC as we engage with the international community to achieve our goals.
